We went to Bangkok for a short gateaway after our graduation and decided to take a bike ride to countryside. We rode in two separate bikes, my bf and I and A with bf. But a truck struck A and her bf. A’s bf was badly injured while A just had scratches. So he was admitted to the local clinic of sort like a village hospital as well since we’re 2 hours drive away from Bangkok for emergency treatment. My bf insisted to transfer him to Bangkok hospital since the facilities are better. Upon hearing this, the local clinic got furious and decided to not do anything else. We even had an argument for good 15 minutes and the doctors then agreed to transfer him. The ambulance arrived 3 hours later and A’s bf was put on respirator before being transferred. We learnt that his brain had given up during the transfer and there’s severe brain haemorrhage. The surgeons at Bangkok hospital explained that it was too risky to perform any surgery on him and after discussions, we decided to turn off the respirator. Deep down, we all know that the doctor at the countryside could’ve done something but upon hearing our phone calls to Bangkok hospital for helps, they decided to leave the A’s bf to die.
